Section Elements
A section element is a portion of a Documaker form document that you want to designate as a section resource in Studio. When the form is imported into Studio, the section element becomes a section resource in Studio.
Section elements offer flexibility by allowing the Studio user to:
- Include and exclude sections from forms as needed
- Reuse section elements in other Studio form documents
Section elements are also used if the recipients for the section are different than the recipients specified for the form in Studio. You can conditionalize a section element using a trigger. A trigger controls whether the section element appears in the distributed document.
For example, in an insurance policy form, you could create a section element named Florida_residents that applies only to individuals living in Florida. After the form is imported into Studio, the Studio user will see the Florida_residents section resource in their library.
Because a section element is not intended to be an entire document, it is different from a section document.
Note | Section elements and section documents are both converted to section resources in Studio. |
Section elements can contain field, graphic, and trigger elements.
